L.O.V. Cosmetics First Impressions

I had the pleasure of being sent some products from L.O.V. Cosmetics recently. I wasn't asked to review them but the brand was completely new to me, so I thought it would be fun to try them out on camera for the first time!

The Brand

L.O.V. is a German brand, which was launched in 2016 by Cosnova Beauty. Cosnova is also the company behind Essence and Catrice. L.O.V. does not test on animals, does not commission testing on animals, and ensures that their suppliers certify the same. Similar to it's sister brands, L.O.V. is affordable and can be found in a number of pharmacies.

Claims: Long-lasting formula, easy to apply and blend.

My thoughts:

- Nice packaging

- Soft formula, decently pigmented

- Very "wearable" shades so ideal for those who like simple looks

- Range of warm and cool shades gives you options

- All shimmer, so mattes are needed to create a complete eye look

Best Dressed Eye Pencil: 241 Lazuli Imperial

Price: €7.95

Claims: 12hour wear

My thoughts:
- Beautiful petrol blue shade. Different but not too crazy.
- Soft enough to apply colour without too much building.
- Twist up pencils generally aren't my favourite as you get less product, and can't sharpen if needed.

Lash Seduction: Instant Volume mascara

Price: €10.99

Claims: Instant volume

My thoughts:
- Volumising for sure, but as I don't have too many, this looks a little clumpy on me.
- Also adds some length
- On closer inspection, this is not a fiber mascara. I think the "wavy fibers" they refer to are the bristles of the brush.

Browttitude - Eyebrow Sculpting Cream: 410 Brunette Personality

Price: €8.95

Claims: Light-weight, waterproof

My thoughts:
- Interesting and innovative brush style for brows
- Definitely for those who like a natural look
- Ideally for those who just want to colour their natural brows

Extraordinary Perfecting Fluid Foundation: 040 Honey-moon

Price: €14.95

Claims: Flawless, radiant, reduces wrinkles, light-weight, non-comedogenic, spf 20

My thoughts:
- Good coverage
- Dewy but was controllable with setting powder for me. (When I checked in later in the day, I wasn't as shiny as I was expecting)
- I wouldn't call it light-weight, as I could feel it on my skin
- Decent sponge for on-the-go application
- Would recommend for mature skins, given it's claims

Lip affair Matte: 920 Brick

Price: €9.99

My thoughts:
- Excellent pigment
- Not drying
- Dried down and lasted well

LovTreat Color & Care Lacquer: 630 Naked Skin

Price: €6.49

My thoughts:
- Nice, slightly curved brush
- Quite sheer. I prefer something that needs less coats
- However, the sheerness allows for a soft glossy finish, that looks like a healthy natural nail
- I love nude polishes so I love the shade
